PEORIA, Ill. – Plans for a party for the Southern Professional Hockey League champions Peoria Rivermen have been made.
A championship parade will take place Friday at 5:30 P.M.
The parade will start at the Gateway Building before traveling up Main Street to Jefferson Avenue to the Peoria Civic Center.
After the parade will be a Cup Celebration in Exhibit Hall A and B of the Civic Center at 6:30 P.M.
Admission to the celebration is free, but the team says parking lots will be paid due to other events occurring in the area Friday.
Rivermen Captain and Peoria-native Alec Hagamn is expected to speak at the ceremony, and present the President’s Cup to fans. The team says players, coaches, and staff will be available for autographs and photos after the ceremony, along with a chance to have their picture taken with the President’s Cup.
